8/1/09
We went to Blanding the first weekend of August for Baby Reed's blessing. On Saturday Ashlie's sister had reserved the pool for her son's 8th birthday party. The boys had so much fun!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple
7/25/09I think the Oquirrh Mountain Temple is always going to have a special place in my heart. Joe and I were able to volunteer three times during the open house. That was such a wonderful experience.
Joe and I had a special guided tour when we volunteered one night during the VIP week. It was neat to be able to learn more things specific to this temple. I love all the etched glass and beautiful chandeliers. My favorite part is the stars on the windows. Even though I loved this special tour I loved taking Hayden through the temple even more. We were able to go with Joe's family and it was great to be together.

Homeless
In June Joe and I had talked about buying a house by my parents. On Sunday, June 14th we decided that we were going to put an offer on the house. I thought about it all night long and the next morning just did not feel good about it. I met Joe at work for lunch to express my concerns. What if he doesn't find a job for a while? What if he gets a job and it's out of state? What if it is still in Utah but he ends up with an hour and a half commute each day? I felt really strongly that we needed to put our house up for sale and move in with my parents after it sold until Joe had a new job. We talked to my parents and of course they said we could live with them. On Tuesday I was trying to figure out what we needed to do to list the house. Wednesday my mom mentioned to the neighbor that we were putting our house up for sale and their daughter and husband came and looked at it and gave us an offer the next day.
We closed on July 22. I didn't have any idea how much I would miss my house. I bought my house before I even met Joe. All of our dating took place there. That was our first house as a family. That is where we lived when my three boys were born. I have lots of memories of my first house.
I never had taken any pictures of my house so the night before we closed I quickly took a few pictures of my empty house.
I feel it was totally meant to be. I feel blessed to have been able to sell our home so quickly and get the price we were asking for. Now if Joe could just find a new job. I really need my own space.

Best Buds
7/13/09
When I first put the boys in the same bedroom Hayden was SO excited. Parker usually wakes up first and would sit in the crib babbling. When Hayden would hear him he would get really excited and start giggling. When I went in to get them this is what I found.

Family Sunday
7/12/09
The second Sunday of every month we do dinner with Joe's family. Hayden loves to spend time with his cousins. The kids were so cute. What could be better than sitting on the bench together eating homemade ice cream?

Antelope Island
7/11/2009
Have you ever been to Antelope Island? I wish I could say I had never been there. The day we went was cloudy, hot and windy. It was dry and ugly. Thankfully we went with family and enjoyed being together. I don't think I will go back anytime soon.

Independence Day
We had a great 4th of July. We really wanted to go to Blanding but weren't able to. We had a calm morning. We walked to the park for the ward breakfast and Hayden and Joe played in the sprinklers later on.
