I Love to See the Temple

I am so grateful to live so close to so many temples. From my office window I can see the Jordan River Temple. While I am on my treadmill in the morning I always enjoy looking at the beautiful temple all lit up.

From the road right by my house I can see three temples all at once, Jordan River, Oquirrh Mountain, and Draper. Not many people can say that. I feel so blessed.

It has been fun watching the construction of the Oquirrh Mountain temple. We pass it many times a week. Hayden always says, "there's a temple over there." and points to the temple. He always asks us to sing "The Temple Cool Song."

Last weekend we were able to attend the Draper temple open house. It was so nice to be able to take my boys to the temple with me. I am so grateful for the blessings of the temple. If I did not have the knowledge of eternal families I would never be able to handle the death of my precious baby Scott. When we sat in the sealing room at the draper Temple they spoke of losing loved ones and the opportunity we have to return to live with them again. I felt the spirit very strongly in that moment. I feel so close to Scott whenever I am in the temple.

I promise to live my life in a way that I can be with Scott and the rest of my family forever.

Parker and Daddy

Finger Painting

Hayden's friend James was over on Saturday. I pulled out the finger paints for the boys. Hayden was all for it. James on the other hand, had a terrified look on his face and refused to touch it. He asked for a paint brush. When Hayden saw James' paint brush he needed one too.

Emotions

Parker can go from being perfectly content one moment to screaming hysterically the next and right back to being content.

Handsome Hayden

I think he is just a handsome little boy! I love him so much.

Parker's Blessing

Parker's blessing day was very nice. I was glad to have so many family members and friends to share it with. Joe gave Parker a beautiful blessing. Here are some of the things Parker was blessed with.

*His physical body would grow and develop to be strong to allow him to serve the Lord in callings and as a missionary
*His mind would continue to develop to get him through school and to learn the concepts taught at home and school
*He can feel the spirit from a young age and follow the prompting of the Holy Ghost to learn right from wrong
*He will have a testimony to live the gospel
*A soft and delicate heart to know the needs of other and be able to serve others
*Friendship with siblings and other family members
*He can be a leader among his peers and be a good example through his actions
*The gifts of the Spirit
*A special name-Look to his ancestors and draw strength and testimony from his name.

I am very grateful to have a husband who honors his priesthood and is able to give blessings to our children.

Groundhog Day

Phil Says Six More Weeks!

Groundhog Day is my very favorite holiday. (And no I do not like the movie.) My reasoning for this being my favorite holiday has changed over the last few years. The reason I love it now is because of a few special friends and family members who always remember to call/email me for this special day. Thanks Rachael, Joe, Debbie, Julie, and Rebecca for not forgetting me today. I look forward to their Groundhog Day wishes every year.

Today I helped Hayden make a cute pop up groundhog. In the video he is saying "peek-a-boo groundhog."
