This year Joe turned 30! He isn't too keen on the fact that he is aging. He told me he wanted his invitations to look like an obituary or something. I told him that was stupid that he isn't old. He kept saying, "I'm practically 40!" Practically 40? 30 is ten years away from 40! A week before his birthday he emailed everyone in my family with his "bucket list." He has said over and over how his body is going to start failing him now that he is 30.

Love the birthday card; what a cute idea! Why is it that 30 is so hard to swallow? I guess it's the first year you really realize you're not a kid anymore...
Hope Joe enjoyed the big 3-0. And I'm sure by his next birthday 30 won't feel so old anymore.

so fun!!! tell joe happy late birthday for us! 30 is a big one! i do believe we will be able to salvage our lawn! the new sprinklers will be a huge help! the sod you layed is surpisingly resilient i thought for sure we would have to resod but after a couple weeks of watering every day where lyric ran her trail it started to fill back in! so we are super excited about that! so thank you for all of your hard work! :) im doing really well these days we are half way there next week! just crossing our fingers that things continue to go well... how are you and the boys? :)
